Bio

Mark Hume manages the Solutions Development team at OISE's Education Commons, delivering application solutions for research, teaching, and administration.

The first computer book he read was "People-Oriented Computer Systems", and ever since he has been focused on delivering systems for people.

Mark started his career writing software for operators of steel mills, and for designers to model computer systems. He moved on to a slew of computer telephony, mobile, and collaboration applications, where he latched on to web application development.

Mark's connections to U of T are diverse. The son of a U of T professor, Mark went to Victoria College, in the Faculty of Arts and Science, did graduate studies in the Department of Computer Science, was a Junior Fellow of Massey College, and has worked at both UTSC and OISE.
