Drupal users/installations at UofT?

Hey everyone,

So contrary to my general lurkiness, I thought I'd post something that I (and a few others, based on some brief discussions) had been thinking about recently.

The UTM Library is in the midst of a web site redesign, and like many academic libraries, we've opted to go with Drupal as our CMS. As we pass the various milestones, and encounter unexpected issues and situations, something in my head keeps telling me that there must be others (in addition to the drupal.org community) that have been here before.

As such, I thought I'd put out a call to the UofT community for anyone who has setup, worked with, or even looked into Drupal as a CMS. Conversely, as we've documented most every aspect of our own project, I'd like to offer up what we've got in the hopes that it might save someone out there some headaches.

Anyone?

Thanks,
Luke

P.s. a quick search of the IT Redbook yields exactly ONE other person who has listed Drupal in their skill-set.

Drupal @ UT

Hi Luke,

You may want to talk with Alex Dvornyak, web dev for my old group (BIOTA). He developed the BIOTA, CSB, and EEB web sites (www.$foo.utoronto.ca) and is quite knowledgeable about Drupal. Greg Mount's another (with TKF and similar sites).

Excellent, thanks so much!

Excellent, thanks so much! That's coincidentally the same name that comes up in the Redbook... so now I can say I was referred to this person, not that I was creeping around the Redbook, Facebook-style.

Thanks,
Luke

Hi guys

So Luke, remember when I introduced you to an old colleague of mine at TKF? That was indeed Alex Dvornyak, so you two have actually met IRL. :)

Also, this mysterious p-dot character is my former boss at said BIOTA group.

I think Alex has a list somewhere on the BIOTA site of other Drupal users. Ahhh... here it is.
