Smart Internet Enabled Touch devices such as the Blackberry Storm, Samsung Instinct, HTC (Android) G1, Apple iPhone and iPod Touch have all become very popular in the last year or two. With over 30 million Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices sold worldwide to date, and a very robust SDK available to developers, it is becoming ever more apparent that the iPhone OS, in particular, will be a very popular platform for mobile e-collaboration, social networking, research and online learning in the coming years. This presentation will discuss how some Universities have started using the iPhone OS to connect to their existing online services. We will also provide a preview of what OISE's Education Commons has been developing to connect to online resources at U of T.
