Drupal overview of a working site
As discussed in the last UT DUG meeting, Daryl Weade will show the decisions made in implementing a series of Drupal installs to contain the new UTSC Centre for Teaching and Learning sites. Discussion will include site objectives, modules considered for best workflow/stability, and site design.
Specific topics: Benefits and limitations of Artisteer as a theme development tool, image and file upload workflow, WYSIWYG modules and settings, user permissions, simplified administrative menus for less tech-savvy users, revisioning, tabbed content pages, composite pages, block controls, and sorting content types.
Will cover as much as possible in two hours. Come prepared to discuss and share from your own experiences.
