Whither Android Tablet? -- From eWeek

So eWeek has determined that Google's Android tablet is going to whither against the very successful Apple iPad and the up and coming Windows-based tablet.

They suggest that security and simplicity give the iPad a commanding presence, and that Microsoft is just getting started but will roll full steam ahead to get their OS onto tablets -- and that the major manufacturers will put out lots of standardised product. They do complain about the variations of the Android OS, and Google's lacklustre support of the product.

People have suggested that the success of the Android phone will lead to similar growth of the Android tablet, but for the reasons above, and more, the Android tablet will be less competitive.
