Svchost Process Analyzer tells you what the heck svchost.exe is doing

This surely comes in handy whenever Symantec decides that its responsibility is limited to simply detecting viruses/malware and nagging you to death about it, instead of actually attempting to remove the malware, say when the system reboots. Svchost (equivalent of UNIX/Linux's [x]inetd, I suppose) is an ideal haven to hide things... poor man's "rootkit", if you will. I think there's a way to run the command prompt with SYSTEM-level privileges, which comes in handy when you have to assume Symantec's responsibilities.

I used a similar tool before back in my ResNet/helpdesk days, and I strongly recommend adding this (or something similar) to your utility belt.
